Our Men’s Div 2 team had one of its best results at Bundoora. With Abere Belay showing the way with 6th place and a great time of 30:45 for the tough 10km the team finished in 8th place.
Once again we were held together by our 40+ men with Damien Bruneau, Dan Rees, Jeff Jones and Danny Hawksworth filling 4 of the six spots, along with Matt Sostaric coming in 81st spot.
Our Premier women’s team was short of numbers with just two runners tackling the 10km. Great work by Bianca Puglisi (11th) and Ally Rogers (42nd).
Earlier in the day, the Schools cross country championships were held with some great results for Essendon members.
