Such fantastic results!! Congratulations to each and every athlete! Good work must be acknowledged in relation to all our super Essendon coaches who are behind many of these performances.

Good luck to all athletes competing in Week 2!

The Helper App has been updated with duties for this coming weekend so it would be awesome if parents/friends of athletes could all chip in and pop their name into a 1hr hour slot. https://athsess.azurewebsites.net/ – THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

ESSENDON GIFT

Put Saturday, 11 November into your calendars because that is the date for our highly-anticipated Essendon Gift! We have a massive 570 athletes entered.

A twilight meet at Aberfeldie with the first race scheduled for 3pm There will be a bar running and a BBQ so there’s no need to go anywhere all afternoon and evening and of course, non-stop athletics excitement!! You can also grab a pic of yourself in front of the epic Gift Wings – we would love you to post this to your social media accounts with the hashtag #ESSENDONGIFT23

The event will be accessible on Livestream via My Sport Live, if you can’t make it.

Set-up helpers would be greatly appreciated from 12pm to 3pm on the day with a sausage and cold beer provided for your generous efforts.

AV STATE RELAYS

Start getting your teams together to represent Essendon at the upcoming State Relay Championships on Saturday, 25 November.

We have interest for and are seeking volunteers for both:

Open Women’s 4×400 relay

Open Men’s 4×400 relay

You can contact your AVSL Team Manager and drop in your race preferences and hopefully, we can get a few teams out there to enjoy a bit of team spirit and camaraderie.

Entries close November 20 so there’s plenty of time to get sorted and maybe hang another cheeky state medal on your wall or just have a fantastic day racing with your teammates!!
