Weekly Wrap October 25th 2023

Hello everyone!!

First and foremost, the club would like to congratulate and thank all those who helped out at Round 3. Homeground advantage in more ways than one with a great set-up crew that got the job done in an hour! Throughout the day, many Essendon athletes, parents and members were seen flitting around at all the event sites & it seriously made a huge difference to the organisational feel & flow of the day so let’s try and keep that momentum at all rounds going forward.

Thanks to everyone who helped out, big or small as we know that many hands make light work!

VIC ALL SCHOOLS T&F CHAMPS – WEEKEND 1 & 2

We need to provide a number of Helpers this coming Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October at the Vic All Schools T&F Championships.

We know lots of Athletics Essendon families will be out competing and we would appreciate anyone who could help out with a duty, to help spread the load!

The Helpers App Link is now live and can be accessed here: https://athsess.azurewebsites.net/

On Saturday 28th Oct, we still need helpers for the following sessions:

  • Session 2 (4 pm – 6:00 pm): Call Room – allocated in 1 hr time slots

On Sunday 29th Oct, we still need helpers for the following sessions:

  • Session 2 (2 pm – 7 pm): Call Room – allocated in 1 hr time slots

I assume it will be similar time slots for the following weekend. Please don’t sit back and let the usuals come forward and give up their time; let’s share the load as this sport relies heavily on volunteers and if we don’t rally up enough names, then we will need to call each & every one of you to commit you to a timeslot. Please let Rebecca at secretary@athleticsessendon.org.au know your availability & THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
