Only a handful of brave members ventured to Ballarat for the 15Km road championship, run around Lake Wendouree.

Our women’s Premier division team had no representatives while our men’s Div 2 team managed to finish in 9th place.

The most outstanding performance came from 45 year old Damien Bruneau who pulled a huge 80 second PB for the course while achieving his highest finish in an AV event, coming home in 41st place and first in the M45 category. Damien was clearly our number one runner on the day.

Again we had 4 runners over 40 years of age making up the Div 2 team.

Charlotte Jackson was our sole female runner, completing the Under 18 6Km course.

Veteran, Brian Anderson took out another 3rd place in the 60+ short course 6Km.

With September around the corner, it’s time to start putting teams together for the final XCR event around the Tan on September 17. We are also required to have two people do our Club Duties on that day. Please consider helping out.
