UPCOMING AGM, Sunday, July 14, 11 am, AE Clubrooms

Athletics Essendon is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, July 14, commencing 11 am at the AE Clubrooms, MVAC.  Please come along & have your voice heard & your vote counted.  All AE members & their families are welcome!

With only 50 days until the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, AE’s Liam Adams, Australia’s best-finishing male marathon runner at both the Rio & Tokyo Games, has been reinstated onto the Australian team!  This is absolutely sensational news for the local sparky & Club favourite & we wouldn’t be surprised if he shows the athletics world exactly why he deserves to be there with what is hopefully a stellar performance in Paris, bettering his 24th place in Tokyo & potentially a top 20 finish!  Good luck in your preparations Liam & massive congrats – we will all be cheering loudly come August 10!  Thanks to everyone who got on board to support Liam’s cause & sign the earlier petition.

Pencil this one into your calendars & onto your ‘must see’ list…. the ANNUAL ESSENDON GIFT IS ON SATURDAY THE 9th OF NOVEMBER, 2024 & promises to be bigger & better than ever!  AE’s Domenic Condello has been working tirelessly to sign up several new sponsors & the prize money on offer is growing!  However, there is still capacity for more sash sponsors & race sponsors so if you own or run a local business, this would be a fantastic opportunity to promote it  & help towards making this Gift, GREAT!!  There’s a strong rumour going around that an invitational high jump competition will also be taking place with some very big names appearing so there is definitely something for everyone at this event!

Please contact Domenic if you would like to know more about sponsorship or assist in any way – domenicocondello@bigpond.com or 0408 898 878.
