Canberra- Thursday 11th March
For our 1500m champ, Linden Hall it was 3rd time lucky. At a wet Canberra Classic Linden broke through to record an Olympic qualifier with a time of 4:02.02. Linden has missed the qualifier by the barest of margins in recent races. Linden finished 8 seconds ahead of the second runner!
Chris Mitrevski pulled out a massive 8.03m long jump to win the event. This jump was just 0.02m off his PB from 2019.
Jack Hale stormed home in the 100m final in 10.42, just failing to catch his NSW rival Rohan Browning (10.34s)
Jacob Despart, running in Tassy colours won his heat of the 100m with 10.54s, but missed out on a lane in the final.
Sydney- Saturday 13th March
Linden Hall again stole the show with a win (and a sneaky PB) over a quality field in the women’s 800m (2:01.27)
In the men’s Triple Jump Ayo Ore jumped 16.01m(+0.6) for 3rd, Ebuka Okpala 14.89m(+2.1) for 5th and Angus Wood 14.38m (+0.0) for 6th.
Liam Adams placed 7th in the Australia 5000m champs in 13:52.74.
