XCR Round 3: Cruden Farm

Twenty one Essendon members travelled down the highway to run at Cruden farm over distances ranging from 5 to 12K.

Our Premier women’s team was lead by Charlotte Wilson who finished in 10th place with Bianca Puglisi not far behind. Unfortunately, with just 2 in the team, Ess finished in 8th spot.

The Men’s div 2 team had a full quota of 6 runners but with five being over 40 it was a big ask and the team finished in last place! Damien Bruneau was the best over the 12K course in a slick 42:50 to finish in 79th place.

Our young runners continue to impress. Archie Noakes won his M20 6k race and with Ty Davis and Jannik Ernst backing him, the team finished the day in 4th place.

The M16 team of Charles Barrett (2nd), Jonathan Neethling (4th) and Oliver Anthony (12th), finished their 6K event in 2nd place for the club’s best result on the day.

Our other three teams (M18, W18, M14) had only one runner in each.
