With over 20 years of coaching experience, Matthew Hall brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for athlete development to Athletics Essendon. His career spans coaching athletes of all ages and abilities (including Para-athletes) with notable success at school, state, and national levels.
Matthew’s coaching philosophy is grounded in open and constructive communication, setting clear goals and building a shared vision with his athletes. He places strong emphasis on collaboration, high standards, and sport integrity, and is committed to supporting every athlete on their journey to personal bests.
Among his achievements, Matthew has played a key role in guiding Parade College to three consecutive ACCC Athletics Championships. His squads have produced multiple state and national medallists across all throwing disciplines and combined events.
Driven by the personal growth he witnesses in his athletes, Matthew is a dedicated and motivational coach, always striving to bring out the best in those he works with.
