CLUB HELPER GUIDELINES
Club Helpers are essential to the sport of athletics in Victoria, and are a requirement from Athletics Victoria to ensure events can be run safely and successfully. This page has everything you need to know about being a Club Helper with Athletics Essendon.
Club Helper Guidelines
Athletics Essendon offers reimbursement for Club Helpers. Everything is run via the Club Helper Portal, so if you’ve not used it before please register early to ensure you can access it.
- Register as a Helper on the Club Helper Portal
Once Registered as a Helper, the process is as follows:
- Athletics Victoria will request helpers from Athletics Essendon to help out at events.
- Athletics Essendon will make call-outs and requests for assistance to Club Members via email and club social pages.
- Club Helpers will volunteer for a helper slot at an event on the Club Helper Portal, click on “Helper Login”

- Choose the upcoming event and your preferred timeslot, and click “Assign Me”
- At the event, BE SURE TO CHECK IN.
- After helping to run the event, fill in the Club Helper Claim Form.
- Reimbursement will be made soon after the claim form is verified.
