This is just ‘icing on the cake’ for the season with such a wonderful representation at the Nationals, the biggest by any Victorian club and probably in Aust.

Athletics Essendon’s Vic relay results, 8 teams into finals, the 3 premierships and many minor placings in the shield final, our medal count at the Vics, our big zone final win and clear winners in the H. H.  Hunter shield. Amazing! Well done team!

Thanks to all our team Managers and assistants, Karen Benca, Jenny Wood, Don McLaren, (Editor: and of course, Janine), Stephen Murphy. To Brad Carter for all the assistance with all of the relay competitions. To our parents and friends for their assistance officiating, to all the coaches for your ongoing support for the club. The senior athletics Championships are being held next week in Brisbane. We wish all athletes from Essendon attending these champs; all the best.
