We’re officially back! AVSL Round 7 marked the return of inter-club competition to Aberfeldie after the flooding in October and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. With a twilight competition to mark the end of 2022 it was the perfect night to finish the first half of the season. With over 1,250 event entries from across all clubs it was a massive weekend to celebrate the end of the year and the return to our beloved home venue.
Congratulations to Armani Mauriohooho, Maz Strong, Mackenzie Leith, Amelia Ashton and Lillian Micallef on all being listed in the top 10 Most Valuable Athletes for Zone A.
It was a fantastic round for the club, finishing with a total of 55,026 points to top the round 7 table. We now sit 3rd on the Premier Division ladder, with a Powerplay in hand. With only three rounds to go before Playoffs it’s going to take a collective effort to see us regain top spot.
