AVSL 2022/23: Playoffs 2 Wrap

After six long month the 2022/23 AVSL season has finally come to an end. With Playoffs 2 being only a few weeks out from nationals it was fantastic to see a number of athletes use the round as a warmup to prepare for nationals in Brisbane. For those not heading to nationals, it was the perfect end to the end of a long season.

It was fantastic to see that we managed to officially finish the season with some fantastic runs in the 4x400m relays. Well done to the following teams: Open Men: Christian Reinhardt, Vishnu Satish, Tarik Bello and Jannik Ernst; U20 Women: Jayme-Lee Cobain, Emily Mifsud, Audrey Savage and Lara Sacaner; Open Women: Amelia Ashton, Khushnoor Rangi, Joanna Margiolis and Alexis Shead.

Congratulations to Mackenzie Leith, Richard Brophie, Sasha Jurson, Kim Walsh and Maz Strong be listed in the top 50 Most Valuable Athletes in the state.

Big congratulations to the following athletes on finishing the season with club records: Lily-Bella Hilli (U16 & U17) 62.30 (400m hurdles), Ela Uzun (U14-U20) 8:58.8 (2000m walk) and Jonathan Neethling (U15) 8:50.53 (3000m).
