AVSL 2021/22 Round 7

Another solid win in AVSL round seven with most of the club heading to Lakeside for the twilight meet as well as a big contingent at John Landy Reserve, Geelong. Thanks to those parents & members who helped at the long and high jumps at Geelong.

We are now nine points clear on top of the Premier division ladder with the top 4 set for the Play Off on March 5.

Overall, it was a good “team effort” with most age groups doing well; the M40+ and W14 teams won the day while the WOP and W18 teams finished 2nd across the state.

Great to see Cam Searle and Maddi Caulfield back on the track and we welcomed new member Mehdi Mashoutpor, who ran a slick 100 at Lakeside to get his first points for the club.

We are hosting Round 8 at Aberfeldie and we need Club Helpers at the triple jump and steeple. We would also like a hand erecting the marquees, starting about 2pm.
