AVSL returns for Round 4 on November 9 & entries opened at 5pm on Wednesday Oct 30 so make sure you log in & register your events as early as possible as the field events fill up ridiculously quick! Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the helper duties, so please, if you haven’t yet volunteered for a round, please consider doing your bit 🙂

PLEASE ALSO LOGIN TO YOUR HELPER APP VIA THE MEMBER PORTAL HERE TO VOLUNTEER FOR A DUTY!

It is expected that each member assist with AT LEAST 3 duty allocations during the season.

Please don’t leave it to the same volunteers week in, week out, it’s just not team spirit.

Lakeside lit up all last weekend with many of the state’s best athletes representing their school in their chosen events & Athletics Essendon was magnificently represented!!  Huge thanks to all those families that completed the helper duties assigned to the Club & helped to make the first weekend of the All Schools Champs a great success!  We received quite a few messages & photos of our athletes out there but it was a tricky one to cover as the easily recognisable red & black colors were of course not represented so we hope we haven’t missed out on too many results from around the traps! Please drop us a line if we have inadvertently missed anyone in our celebrations! secretary@athleticsessendon.org.au

649 entries!!!  This is massive!!  If you want to see a huge day of excitement, talent & enjoy a burger & a beer, make sure you come on down to MVAC & maybe witness history or at the least, some incredible racing with 14 sashes to be won & that’s just the track program… because there’s a handicapped high jump competition with some of the biggest jumpers on the circuit, touting clearances of 2.25m!!

There will be live music, all-day commentary & a vibe you won’t want to miss!  Action starts at 10.30am for the two LAVic races on the program & then the even bigger guns commence racing from 11am onwards, until the sun starts setting. You won’t want to miss this epic day we look forward to seeing many of you there 🙂

Any assistance on the day would be greatly appreciated – please contact domenicocondello@bigpond.com if you would like to lend a hand.

AV TRACK & FIELD RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS – NOVEMBER 23 & 24, DONCASTER

Teams are currently being configured for as many relay teams as possible for the upcoming State Relay Champs so if you are interested in racing in one or more teams, please reach out to your TM, the Club Secretary or perhaps your coach & register your interest in competing.  It’s an awesome way to get to meet other AE members, form new friendships & enjoy the team camarardie.  Good news is the Club pays the entry fees too!  Please see the timetable below for all the events scheduled.  Names need to be in by Friday Nov 15 at the latest.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything we missed, by sending our secretary Rebecca an email at secretary@athleticsessendon.org.au.
