AVSL 2021 /22 Round 2

Near perfect conditions welcomed a big contingent of athletes to Aberfeldie for AVSL round 2.

A big thank you to all the club helpers who got all the equipment and tents in place for the 1.30 start and to those who stayed back late to pack up.

Also thank you to everyone who chipped in and worked the long jump & steeple hurdles. Without your work, the day simply would not have happened.

We finished the day on top of Premier division, just 288 points ahead of Eaglehawk who used their Power Play. After 2 rounds Glenhuntly 27 remain on top of the ladder, with Eaglehawk on 25 and ESS on 19…with our Power Play still in hand.

Our best age group performances were M40, W20, M16 and W14 who all won their divisions; MOP finished in 3rd spot.

MVA

Mackenzie Leith was AV’s MVA scoring 1516 points. Jamison Towers was 2nd with 1507 points and Marco Spagnuolo 7th with 1461 points. Great effort when you consider the numbers of athletes who competed.
