Round 11 is done and dusted with MOP, FOP, M40, M14, F14 teams recording wins. The M16 look like they need a big win next week to make Shield final. If they make it, Essendon will boast having all Shield teams competing at Lakeside on Feb 23. Come on M16s…do it at Meadowglen!
The heroes this week were the Volunteers who helped out with the triple jump, hurdles, wind gauge, 800m finish and relays!!
A big thanks to Arthur, Maria Strong, Jayne Pizzo, Rae Andrews, Jacki Djatschenko, our 40+ men and the Red & Black group. They all worked hard throughout the day in the heat to fulfill AE’s obligations and to allow everyone to compete.
A reminder that you MUST compete in the proper Essendon singlet top. Avoid being disqualified in Shield Final or Championships by wearing the correct uniform.
Team Managers are very happy to report that many athletes have been willing to perform in non preferred events to qualify for Shield final.
