Club Master’s shine at Stawell
Long-time club member Arron Downes led the way for Athletics Essendon masters at Stawell when he won the Stawell Gift front-markers 400, from fellow master Brett Maurer who finished 4th Arron is in black in the photo (no. 7) while Brett is in green (no. 4) This completed the Stawell treble for Arron who has previously won the 800 and 550m
Former club member Anna Pasquali (Anna Deary) won the women’s 400, while another master athlete, Mark Giglio came second in the restricted 100m and 9th in the Masters 300m
Leading the way for non-masters was Andrew Boudrie made the final of the backmarkers 400, but unfortunately could not run due to injury
